HAPPY SECOND YEAR ANNIVERSARY, PATRICK FABIAN ONLINE!
OMG! Two whole years for PFO! Wow! So teh awesome!
It's been a great year for Patrick! He's done some fantastic work & a lot of big guest spots on major primetime shows,
not to mention movies like Snow 2 & Twitches Too! We here at PFO are thrilled for him & wish him continued success now &
on down the road. Hell, we hope he keeps working til he's 80!
Also, we'd like to extend a thank you to all the friends & fans of PFO who dropped a word by or shown their support of
Patrick's work! Without you, this site never would have gotten off the ground & I can't express my gratitude enough for
the many, many talented hands that played a part in that. A big thanks to ALL of PFO's supporters past, present & future!
Now everyone relax & celebrate this joyous occasion with the drink & "Patrick Fabian viewing experience" of your choice!
And here's to another year going strong in 2009!

Happy St. Patrick's Day!
Since it'd be practically criminal to ignore *Patrick* on St. *Patrick's* Day,
I'd just like to wish everyone a safe & happy holiday, from one American-Irishwoman to all
my fellow Patrick fans out there, as well as Patrick himself of course! Hope you can spend it
with those closest to you & take a little time for Wearin' O' the Green!
And just so this post won't be totally unrelated, I'll simply reiterate that the last
Patrick related tidbit I had (from his
official site)
was that he was in Canada (hope he bundled up --seems to be
a 'wintery-cool spring' this year!) currently filming his newest project: 'Snow 2', a sequel
to the popular ABC Family comedy he co-starred in back in 2005: 'Snow'. I'm not sure how long it
will take to wrap that up, but I imagine it's keeping him pretty busy, probably too much so for
other projects in the meantime. A good friend & affiliate of this site passed on that he also got to
go snow-boarding earlier in the year, so sounds like he's doing great all around!
Hope everyone else is having a great 2008 to date as well! Myself, I'm swamped with all manner of
projects lately, ranging from theater (I'm a soloist in an upcoming large-scale musical, with a cast of
over 50, plus I hold a monologue & a few songs in a ALW 'Phantom of the Opera' one-act
--lots & lots of vocal rehearsal for me right now!) to various writing projects. Plus I'm having a
'belated birthday party' (YAY ME!) in May & that's also when my two shows open & my brother's wedding is.
So May = CRAZY + MEGA-BUSY month for me & so, much as I'd LOVE to do some work on this site, I may
have to wait until life calms down a little first (IE: After May). I'm so, so sorry you guys. I know
revamping around here is long overdue, but right now its all I can do to keep my head above water ok?
Have a great Spring everyone & I'll check in when I have more PF news later! Peace. Out.

The Writers Strike & Assorted Topics:
Welcome back the invisible woman! Yes, I know--I know, I've been guilty of site neglect
(more or less) while off on my own crusades. But, might I direct your attention to that little
disclaimer notice at the bottom that reads: site for fun, not profit. *sigh* Believe me guys, if
my Boss paid me to play around online, I'd have about ten times the content here as I do now!
Be that as it may, I do have good news as far as the writers strike goes (it's belated, but we've
already covered that). It is OVER officially; it ended on Feb 12th & I'm sure we are all happy
as clams (fans? Clammy fans?) that our favorite shows will soon be airing once more --several of the
networks I hear (CBS in particular) are planning to finish out the season with new episodes, so we
should get, if not a full season, at least fairly close to. This of course means new tv work for Patrick
as the season commences --we hope-- so do keep your eyes & ears open & I'll post news as I get it.
That said, I've heard rumors that the SAG (the Screen Actors Guild) may be next to go on strike.
If so, I hope you know that we the fans here at PFO --& in other related fandoms-- do support their
decision and any decision Patrick himself may make on the matter. If you would like to read more or
keep up with related content, you can find the newest strike news here:

PFO supports both the WGA & SAG
in their strike efforts/affiliations
Or occasionally, I do post strike news & other PFO related content on my personal blog, which you can
find here:
My Blog --wg@lj.com
In other news, I am planning to work on my new layout for PFO, hopefully no
later than by the end of the month. Yes I know, I keep giving you deadlines & changing them,
but unfortunately between the musical show I'm doing currently & several past writing obligations,
my schedule is booked to the max. I'm fitting in art time where I can, but it's just difficult to
spare right now. Still, I promise I'll work on it --squeezed inbetween rehearsals if I can't
find time anywhere else.
I think that covers my news for now. Be well & happy & don't forget to keep checking back for the latest
Patrick news & updates!

Filming News!
Yikes, sorry. Looks like I let our scroller get a little out of date.
But it's updated now & also I heard a rumor (rather unofficially) that Patrick
is currently filming a sequel to the popular ABC Family Christmas movie: Snow. I
don't have any news on when Snow 2 is supposed to premiere; my guess would be
maybe this Christmas season? Anyway, good to know Patrick is still working (even
though the writers strike) & I will post more news as I get it. 'Til then, be well & happy, my peeps!

Airdate changed for Boston Legal!
It would seem, due to the strike, that many airdates are being changed including
the one for Boston Legal. The latest news I have is that it's bumped from the 8th & moved to
next week, the 15th (which makes sense as many other shows are coming back next week as well). So
adjust your calendars and I guess we'll see Patrick on next week.

New PF appearance on ABC
Good news, PF fans!
The afore promised episode of Boston Legal looks like its scheduled to run on
Jan the 8th (which coincidently is my Dad's birthday, so I may have to tape mine). But
it's best to consider most airing schedules 'tentative' for now.
As the WGA strike drags on, new PF
episodes, along with everything else, may become a rarity. So enjoy them while they last & let's
all make our prayer for the New Year that the studios & writers (along with us) can reach a swift
resolution beneficial to all parties involved.

Happy Birthday to YOU!

Wishing a very happy birthday to our man of the hour: Mister Patrick Fabian himself!
As a belated birthday (& early Christmas) gift, I do solemnly swear to work on the new layout
so we can hopefully get it up here before the turn of the year, especially since
I'm going to have a very hectic schedule with theatre rehearsals afterwards (speaking of, I
still need beta testers for the layout before it's operational. Please message me from
the contact
page if you are interested). Also, I'll shortly be putting up some new screen capture galleries
(from Bones, NCIS, Las Vegas & more!) & possibly some new site exclusives too. So stay tuned & a very
Happy Birthday to Patrick & Merry Christmas to all!
PS: Looking for a special PF way to celebrate Christmas? Then don't forget to catch PF on Snow,
airing this Sunday at 3pm on ABC Family's 25 Days of Christmas! Patrick plays a misguided hunter with
absolutely no fashion sense & he's hilarious straight down from his Indy Jones style fedora to his
khaki shorts. Definitely a 'don't miss' performance for any PF fan!

PF on Las Vegas!
Patrick did a great job on Friday's episode of Las Vegas. I love it
when he plays snarky roles & found his referring to himself as a 'disaster
specialist' quite amusing. I'm hoping to get caps up in the gallery for it soon,
but in the meantime, if you missed the episode, you can catch it here:
Las Vegas @ NBC.com
Also, according to the PF Official site, he's supposed to be on an episode of Boston Legal soon as well.
I'll post more updates on that as I get them.

Guess Who!
Apparently Ari's guardian
angel was looking after me this week (usually she is the one that
catches all of Patrick's surprise appearances, but not this time). For on Tuesday night,
when I switched on the new episode of NCIS (I'm a long-time fan of the show),
Patrick's name was among
the first to flash up on the credits. Surprised me, let me tell you! I apologize,
but I had no forewarning
at all, which is why I didn't post anything on-site about it.
On a personal observation, I was disappointed because I felt the NCIS team
could've done so much more with his character than what they cast him as. The show
is notorious for its witty quips & Patrick is a master of comic timing. Unfortunately,
he spent a great detail of his limited screentime on a cell phone call, so that made it
hard to banter with the others. And I would've preferred more interaction between him & Michael
Weatherly. The two have many commonalities in their acting style & legendary charm & it
would've been so lovely to see them play off one another. Oh well. Next time perhaps.
And that's the other bit of good news **spoiler alert** that for once in a seeming endless parade
of villains, Patrick is, if not the good guy, at least not the bad guy! Which means we can
have hope for a possible return appearance, this time perhaps sans cell phone?
So, if you missed the episode (as I nearly did), never despair! You can watch it here:

New PF TV Appearances!
Hey, hope everyone's Halloween was great this year! Getting us PF fans right into
the holiday spirit, there are some new upcoming appearances by Patrick this month.
11/13 -- Bones (ep: The Boy in the Time Capsule)
11/30 -- Las Vegas (ep: The High Prices of Gas)
Don't forget also to check out the NEW Starry Mag interview & podcast
(linked in the news section below) -- here's hoping that all these hot show guest
appearances will lead to still more good press & jobs for our fave actor!

New PF Interview & Podcast!
Starry Mag.com has a magnificent new interview posted with
Patrick, talking about all
his latest work -- such as Viva Laughlin, Pushing Daisies, Twitches Too
& more. To read it, go to our interviews
page & follow the
link. Alternatively, I've put the document version online as well for
you to download & read later at your convenience. If you want the
full experience, go
here to listen to the podcast (which contains additional content
not included in the transcription) or you can download a copy here
if the link is invalid.
Also, it would seem that one of the new series Patrick landed a guest
spot on (Viva Laughlin) has been cancelled for good. I missed
the season premiere myself, being out at a concert that Thursday, but
caught
it later online at CBS com. Alas, they've taken down the video so you
can't even see it there anymore. But if you missed it, don't feel too
bad. Frankly, I don't feel it was one of Patrick's better roles &
though I'm
glad the ep he was on DID get aired, there was none of the much
anticipated singing involved. *pout*

Pushing Daisies was fantastic!
I was surprised, but Pushing Daisies proved to be a terrific
show, full of humor, unpredictable twists & a dash of children's
fairy tale. It was a wonderful show & a great
episode & if you missed it, then for shame. But don't despair, you
can catch full episodes online (including the episode Patrick was in):

DEE-lightful News, Dahling!
Straight from the source, October promises to be a very
Patrick-intensive month
on TV with just tons of new episodes coming our way -- which means
Patrick must've had a very busy spring/summer doing all that
filming. (& all Patrick's fans said 'Amen')
But while we here at PFO feel the need to hand him a cold drink &
prop his feet up, all that hard
work will now be thoroughly enjoyed, giving fans a plethora of new
shows to choose from (& our VCR's a workout!). Now granted, I
flagged Twitches Too (as you
can see below) &
I did catch the Viva Laughlin
premiere date though I hadn't gotten around to posting it yet (I know,
BAD Chris! No cookie for you!) -- but as you can see, there were more
shows forthcoming than even I'd anticipated. And I am thrilled upon
thrilled to be able to share them with you now, as well as their
respective
air dates. (& before you ask, of course I'll have them on the
scroller too! *grin*)
10/10 -- "Pushing Daisies" on ABC
10/12 -- "Twitches Too" on Disney
10/18 -- "Viva Laughlin" on CBS
10/21 -- "Viva Laughlin" on CBS (and they get a cookie for having him
on the show TWICE!)
11/30 -- "Las Vegas" on NBC
Now off with you to program the timers on your VCR's & I will
promise to be more punctual with my updates in the future. Ta!

Happiness is. . . hearing news like Patrick will be in the
upcoming
sequel to the movie T'witches on Disney Channel!
That's right, Patrick fans. The Disney Channel Original movie
'T'witches Too' is coming out this Halloween and Patrick is expected to
reprise his role as the dark sorceror Thantos from the original
T'witches. The air date is set for
Oct. 12th and of course I'll place it on the scroller here as a
reminder to watch. Be sure and catch it to support our fave guy in his
wonderful work with Disney!

Ooo! So I was just browsing today -- & came across a bit of 'hidden
treasure' on the Net.
I found a posted copy of Patrick's appearance on the show 'Cupid'
online. Being that this is an
older show (and unlikely to hit reruns any time soon) -- its a rare
find indeed. Patrick plays
a deluded man who thinks he's 'Don Juan Quixote' -- & does a
charming
job as the legendary lover. Oddly enough, my major beef with this
episode had nothing to do with Patrick's performance -- but was found
in the ep opening itself, where Cupid identifies himself as 'the
grandson of Zeus & son of Mars, God of War.' *scowls*
I took umbrage to that, since first of all he claims to be descended
from the original Olympus & 'Greek Gods', but if that were true,
than it would be ARES --not MARS-- as Ares was the GREEK name
and Mars
was the ROMAN name. Secondly, only some myths say that Ares was the
father -- so (though he *is* the grandson of Zeus and son of
Aphrodite), that particular linage CANNOT be substantiated. And third,
if he
were Greek, than he'd know that his name is 'Eros' -- God of Love, not
Cupid. The
name 'Cupid', though more commonly used in our culture than Eros is, is
ALSO a Roman name!
Digressing, am I? Terribly. Boring you yet? Oh probably. But I just
take exception to that sort of thing, because --after ten years of
research & writing in that area-- I *am* an authority on Greek
mythology. If you are going to use the pantheon of Greek Gods, please
make
an effort to get it right! *coughs* Besides, what was the whole
bartending, balding older guy thing QP was doing? I'm telling you,
there are some priestesses of the GOL out there who are gonna be PISSED when they see what 'Cupid' is
being represented as these days! *LOL!*
Now where was I? Oh yes, you can find Patrick's appearance on Cupid

News Alert!
Patrick was just on the season finale of
'Close to
Home' tonight! And my 'bad' for not having a heads-up on it
earlier --
but it appeared this one slipped under the radar.
Due to the uncanny gift of my friend
Ari,
who has a knack for always stumbling upon Patrick's appearances before
I
do
(she insists its her guardian angel looking out for me as well), she
emailed me &
let me know she'd just seen the man's name flash across the show's
guest credits.
Shocked, I flipped my webpage up & checked the ticker, since I
normally keep a close eye on any new appearances -- but no dice. None
of my usual 'sources' had prior word of the guest spot. It was as much
a surprise to me
as it was to her. So I switched on the tv & sure enough, looming at
the end of the episode, was Patrick back as the lawyer
Mike Bachner. He gave a great performance, but I couldn't decide
whether to be happy it was on or angry for nearly missing it.
*half-smile*
So, my apologies for not flagging it earlier, but those
are the breaks sometimes! And important to note: the season
finale for 'Close to Home' is a part 2 of 3. So, I'm not sure if
Patrick 'was' on part one -- just as I am also not sure if he'll
'be' on part three! But it does seem to make sense, doesn't it? So you
might keep an eye out next Friday -- just in case! I know I intend to.
Anyway, good to see he's working -- regardless. *grins*

Yummy News Alert!
Thanks to the Goddess of Good Celebrity Gossip
'Ari',
hope looms on the distant horizon. It seems that one of the pilots
picked up by CBS (for the 2007 season) is a show called 'Viva
Laughlin'. The premise: Small-time casino owner, Ripley Holden,
dreams
of opening up a snazzy resort on the Laughlin Strip. Based on the BBC
murder-mystery-musical series, 'Blackpool.' And Patrick is booked as
having filmed an episode. His character is named Steve Bridges.
Other than that, don't have much info right now -- except of course
that it's delightful, delicious & de'lovely that
Patrick is
busy filming! *grins* Apparently it's a musical -- so does that
mean our main man
will be singing too? *eyes round happily* To read more about it, visit

Will post more info as it becomes available. Obviously this is one show
I'm gonna have to keep a close eye on!

Ok, so this isn't technically news
-- but I did want to wish everyone
a happy
St. Patrick's Day! *grin* Being
Irish myself & therefore having a certain fondness for the name
(can't imagine why), I have to admit a certain curiosity over how you
would celebrate the day if Patrick actually is your name? *grins* Do
you wear a little green shirt that says: "Kiss me, I'm Patrick." *grin*
Anyway, have a great St. Patrick's Day, ehm -- uh, Patrick
& everyone & here's hoping it's as beautifully sunny &
green as Ireland.

Patrick (finally!) NOT THE Killer!
well, sort of. . .
WARNING: Spoilers for Veronica Mars season finale. If you haven't
yet seen the episode & don't wish to have it spoiled, don't read
the column below.
First, I apologize to everyone for taking so long to get this up. I've
been wrestling the headcold from hell
this week & it's showing no signs of letting up, judging by the
cough/sneeze fest I had at work today.
But getting back on topic, I'm curious to know what the fans thought of
the VM season finale, "Papa's Cabin". For the record, I liked it
overall. Course, that conclusion is strongly influenced by the
substantial amount of
screen time Patrick had throughout the episode, enough to salve my
irritation over the seasonal lack of reoccurring character billing
among the opening credits (though he was the first guest star credited
on that episode). I was also pleased as punch when an alibi showed up,
clearing him at the time of the murder. At last I thought we might have
one murder mystery where Patrick, if not exactly the 'good guy', might
get off
with merely being an innocent suspect. Ah. Silly me. *sighs*
I do wonder what it is about the poor man that makes these casting
directors visualize him as a murderer -- or an adulterer (sometimes
both!)? He never struck me intially as the 'villainous type' (reformed
'scoundrel turned good' perhaps, but never out-&-out evil!), yet
that is the only
role he seems to land anymore. Perhaps I'm optimistic, but can we once
have him as a teacher not making a pass at a student half his age,
sleeping with the Dean's wife or bitching at a student that receives
visions from God? On the plus side, he does pull off intelligence well
-- maybe a tad *too* well! *grins*
At any rate, like I said I did like the episode -- though I was
frustrated by the fact that even though Patrick was not THE killer,
they still managed to make him a
killer ANYWAY -- thus making
his
record, Convicted Killer: 100%, Innocent Bystander: 0%. Also, I was
infuriated by one of the lines Hank Landry said early on in the
episode. It was the line where he turned on Tim & made that nasty
little remark behind his back. Now mind you, I understand that the line
was crucial to the plot (& defined the motive behind Tim's crime),
but up until that point I had rather liked the character of Hank
Landry. Adulterer, shameless flirt & all, I was rooting for him all
season long,
but that single line killed it for me in a split second. I still didn't
believe he was the real killer, but I had real trouble caring after I
heard him be so cold to the only
person who still believed in him.
Even the woman who Landry was sleeping with had backstabbed him &
the one friend Landry had left, he backstabbed instead. I ended up
disliking Landry intensely & pitying Tim (which was rather the
program's intent).
Now granted, Tim did turn out
to be the killer & so my sympathy
for him was premature, considering he was entirely capable of handling
his own revenge -- but
nonetheless Landry's character never did get me back into his good
graces, so I wasn't sorry when it came time for his well-justified end.
I am presuming however
that his imprisonment does mean he won't be back on next season, right?
*grins* 'Cause I'm thinking he could do this whole video conferencing
thing from his jail cell & -- hey, it could work! After all, I'm
sure he knows a lot *more* about criminology now, having experienced it
firsthand!
Still -- any thoughts, comments, additions? Feel free to post on our blog
& leave your feedback on that -- or any other work Patrick has
done. PFO is always ready to welcome your thoughts & opinions.

Well, there seems to be good news on the horizon as far as new work
goes.
I'm pleased to announce that I have it confirmed Patrick will be on
'Veronica Mars'
in two weeks, on Feb 27th. He was also on this week's ep (should have
announced it here *shrug* --
but I did put it on the event scroller, so. . .) & with each
episode, we draw closer & closer
to the killer. Personally, I'm convinced the wife did it (not that my
conclusion has anything to do
with the fact she was sleeping with Patrick's character. Oh no. That
didn't influence my judgment at all. . .) -- but we will see.
Incidently -- I don't know who has noticed, but it seems that even when
new work is a little scarce, there has been a lovely line up of reruns
featuring Patrick every week. So it gives one a chance to catch up with
older work that might be new to us,
while he is filming something
else. I have a queue of episodes myself that I haven't seen (thanks to
my rehearsal schedule) waiting
to be happily perused this weekend.
Anyway, I advise keeping a watchful eye on Veronica Mars thoroughout
the rest of the season because it looks like
Professor Landry still has a pivotal role to play in this mystery,
whatever the outcome may be. & keep an eye on the events scroller
as well, because even though the listing might not be Patrick's newest work, it might still
include an episode of something that is new & enjoyable for you!

Straight from the horse's mouth (so to speak), Patrick announced at the
Xena Con
that he was going to be on the season finale of 'Veronica Mars' (&
inquiring minds sincerely hope many, many eps inbetween?). After
apologizing to his fans for not making it Friday due to filming
obligations, (as if we are so bribable that we'd trade time in person
for more time onscreen. Humph! *pause* Er, well come to think of
it. . .) he assured
us he had to fly back Sunday to finish filming the season finale. &
since that is
about as official a tip as
I've ever gotten, I daresay the finale is
an ep
worth making a date with your TiVo for. *grin* Meanwhile, just keep

Patrick fans ALERT!
If you
haven't seen Patrick's new movie 'End
Game' yet, you simply must rent
it!
I just finished watching it myself and oh for joy! For rapture! *grins*
Though it took me forever to
get ahold of it. It was checked out for five weeks at Hastings (which is
an eternity in my world). I wouldn't
have bothered renting it, 'cept I wasn't sure how much screen time
Patrick
would get in the movie & wanted to see it for myself first before
purchasing a copy. For the record, he gets a good amount of screen time
(YAY!) and
more importantly, (for once) he plays a character that is not even
remotely villianous (I know. Shocking, right?). He does a lovely
job
as an (honest) Secret Service agent investigating an assassination of
the president and there are some wonderful scenes of him playing
back up to Cuba Gooding Jr.'s heroic character (which are too lovely
for words. My Gods, the man even perches on a desk pretty.). So YES,
this movie is most definitely a 'must' for the Christmas Wish List,
people!

Wonderful
news!
I have it confirmed
that Patrick will be appearing in tonight's episode of 'Veronica Mars'
& also on the 31st as dear Prof. Landry. Also, he will be making a
guest appearence on this week's episode of 'Ugly Betty' (which, though
I'm not entirely familiar with the show itself, has been getting rave
reviews from my coworkers, so I'm eager to give it a shot!). That makes
two new appearences this week! It's simply marvelous news with a
cherry on top that he is getting such consistent work! Don't forget to
tune in! I'm off to set my VCR timer right now! *grin*

Just
in!
Patrick will be appearing as
a guest star on this week’s episode of 'Shark'.
It airs Thursday, Oct.
5th on CBS at 9:00 pm CST. Don’t know much about the episode yet, but
I’ve heard rumors that finally
Patrick will get to play a guest star
that isn’t a villain, but a LAWYER
(and despite popular belief, this
doesn’t automatically equate villainy). Exciting, eh? *grins* Don’t
forget to tune in and see for yourself.

Patrick appeared earlier this year in
a play by the name of 'Diva',
which was performed at the Pasadena
Playhouse. Though alas, finances and short notice did
not allow me to attend *whimper*, I am sure that it was fabulous!
Hopefully he'll be making more live stage appearances in the future.

Patrick has been appearing in many of
the new 'Hyandai' commercials
lately, I am delighted to say, and has been
very convincing in assuring me that I
do need to lease a Hyundai
Sonata. *grins* (And I get calls everytime he is on telling me to go
watch, 'cause Patrick is on tv.) So go out and buy a car to support
him. But make sure you mention the ad when you do. *grin*

Apparently it’s official now!
Patrick’s character on 'Veronica Mars:
Professor Landry', will be a
reoccurring character. Queen of all good gossip Ari tipped me off with
this blurb straight from the show producer:
“And Veronica’s criminology professor,
played by Patrick Fabian, he is
going to be a recurring adult character.” (end quote)
And you can go here to watch an online promo for the season
premiere. It does have a split-second “blink
& you’ll miss it” shot
of Patrick on there (good luck spotting the familiar face), so if you
miss the episode and want to get the Patrick/Veronica Mars experience,
then you can view the demo and try to sort of/kind of/not really quite
imagine what the episode was like. *grin*

If you haven't heard this bit of
news, grab a chair & hold on
tight! Patrick is scheduled to appear at the next
Creation Xena Con: 2007. (This
news very graciously provided by Ari.)
*waits for happy squeals of joy to die down!* You can find more
information about tickets and dates here. Yes, the
countdown 'til January is on, so grab your tickets now and I shall see
you at the Con!

Patrick has been announced as a guest
star on the popular drama series
'Veronica Mars'. (Can we cross our
fingers and chant "Season Regular, Season Regular" until it happens?
*grin*) It airs on Tuesdays, 8 p.m. CST on the new CW Network. Which of
the episodes he is guest-starring in; unfortunately I'm not sure right
now. But I will probably list them in the weekly log just in case and
the season premiere is Tuesday, Oct. 3rd, so be sure to tune in. (And I
will require full reports back from everyone on your opinion of the new
goatee & shorter crop on top! *grin*)

a good dose of luck!), I will try my best to keep this section totally
