Dear Patrick;
What can I say? I find myself at a loss for words to express how touched I am by the generous package you sent me. It was exceptionally kind of you to think of me, particularly since you don't owe me anything. It was a priviledge just to meet you at the Xena Conference & I couldn't have asked for a nicer reception. You were so open, warm and gracious that I felt completely at ease talking to you & I had such a lovely time that the time just flew by & it hardly seemed I was there before it was over.
Frankly, the package caught me off-guard because I wasn't expecting anything, let alone a personal response. Just the fact that you took time out of your busy schedule & hand-wrote such a wonderful note completely astonds me. And humbles me greatly. It further confirms to me that I made a wise choice when I felt the call to support you in your work as best I can. Patrick, you've proven to be a man just as real, approachable & genuine as your characters & I hope you never lose that quality. It's a tragedy you haven't been discovered yet, but I remain convinced that if you continue to show the fine quality of workmanship & the generous nature of your soul that you have thus far, it won't be much longer.
